about

This was a traditional song, previously released. The "song" version of I Still Believe In You is on 2011's I Recall Standing As Though Nothing Could Fall.

When I wrote it, things felt dark. The tragedies and tensions and dissonance of the last few years have managed to eclipse what I thought couldn't get worse. The future is always a series of nows, and it's always what we allow it to be. I felt the need to let you know that I Still Believe In You, in us, even without language. That's why I included it here.

Plus, I love Molly's violin on here. Her playing is beautiful.

The set clocks in at 40 minutes with no prevarication or bluster, just a celebratory noise alight w/ hearts, broken-in voices & poetry. ... more
